Thumbs up to Sheboygan, WI!

We ended our spring break week with a trip to Blue Harbor Resort in Sheboygan, WI.  It's under 3 hours for us, and we went for just one night (so about 24 hours).  Totally worth it!  The big guys sat in the back for the ride, watching a movie.
Little man cashed out, but only for about 45 min.  Oh well, we kept him busy enough that he didn't notice how tired he was!
Noah was our sliding daredevil.  He rocked these medium slides all on his own!
Isaac LOVED the splash pad/zero depth area.  He crawled around and played so happily, it was adorable!
 Sam liked it too!
The view from our room was directly out to Lake Michigan.  A bit dreary looking this week, but I bet in the summer it's gorgeous!
We had a nice little suite with 2 queens and a half wall with a living area and fold out couch.
Free to roam and explore, this bed looks comfy!
Daddy is a master at the baby toss!
Everyone was EXHAUSTED after the afternoon at the waterpark!  We ordered some Jimmy Johns and enjoyed some Sponge Bob before crashing asleep!
The next day, we were back at the park!

Noah even did the bigger slides with mom and dad!  They were FAST and ended in dark tunnels, he couldn't get enough!
Thumbs up for a great family trip!
The lack of sleep finally catches up with someone.  Even the blaring music and happy screaming kids couldn't keep him awake!
So, we returned home to the real world.  Mike heads to a new job at Kraft this week and Noah and I head back to school.  I was cleaning out his backpack and found this gem...
I spent Saturday running errands with this guy.  We stopped for lunch at Taco Bell.  He couldn't resist shouting, "It's Taco Time!" at full volume.  He is TOO MUCH!
So, hurray for spring!  We welcome warmer weather, soccer season, and FAMILY Saturdays!

48 hours of non stop funnage (aka can mommy get a nap now?)!!!

So Noah officially turned 6 this past week.  His actual birthday was fairly low key.  He got a new spiderman costume that fits him (the 4t was getting ridiculously snug).  And we also got him a "Shield Agent" membership on this online superhero game that he loves.
 Crown from school, excitement!
The rest of the week past quietly, we met up with the Worsts briefly and Aunt Philie made an adorable superhero pillow for Sam's beloved puppy.
Noah got a millenium falcon lego set that he was able to do completely on his own.
Mike began his painstaking cake making process over the weekend.  He tried out a new marshmallow fondant this year that was much easier to work with.
Noah is reading pretty fluently lately, which is awesome!  He's been reading out loud to Sam and Isaac, they love it!
So our 48 hours of wild crazy fun began yesterday (monday) with a photo shoot at JCPenneys for all the boys and lunch out.  Then we dropped off Mike & Ike at home to work on the cake and nap, respectively.  I took the big 2 to...Legoland!
Noah's keen eyes found white Batman up on the Willis Tower.
Sam found a lizard (he LOVES his reptiles).
The whole Star Wars set was pretty cool, complete with life sized R2D2!
 Batman!
Sam got the guts to go on some rides.  He may have been clutching my hand pretty intensely, but he did it!
We built some car and tested them out on the ramp/race track.
We went to the master class.  Noah was a perfect student following along and answering questions throughout the class.
 The final product, a giraffe!
Sam climbed into the lion head all on his own!
While we were gone, Mike completely this Pac Man masterpiece!
So today (Tuesday) was the big bday party at Chuck E Cheese.  It worked out nicely to have spring break this week, so we were able to host a mid-day, mid-week time that was not too busy.  Mike, Noah, Sam and myself were joined by Bampa while Bamma stayed back with Isaac.  Evie and Leo were the first ones there.  Evie climbed right in for the action!
Leo needed a bit more time to warm up to the idea!
Sam found a lizard shooting his tongue game, he was HOOKED!
Noah was a great host and bounced around to all the games while still checking in with his guests.
Our neighbors from across the street McKenna and Deven came too!
Noah's best buds from school Nico and Kosta were there!
That place sure knows how to suck those tokens in quick!
Sam joined in the action with the big guys!
Another year, another amazing cake!  Thanks Dad!

Mr. Chuck E Cheese showed up too!

The cake tasted as good as it looked!  Noah chomped up Mr. Pac Man in one bite!

The ticket booth was a hit too!  From the day we started planning this party, Noah talked about this moment and how excited he was for this part!
Mike and I hollered at him to hurry, we thought he froze and didn't know what to do.  But we realized he was zeroing in on the 1000 ticket voucher.  Why waste time grabbing at the single tickets when you can take your time and get the big pay off?!
 Nice work dude!
Good thing Bampa was there to help "steer" Sam in the right direction.  Nyuk nyuk!
So, it was a huge success.  15 kid total and in and out in 2 hours.  Whew!  Now we have a day to relax and recover before we head to a waterpark on Thursday.  WOOHOO for spring break 2014! (now, where's my drink and my pillow?)
