Swimming, in February, in Iowa

Nothing says February in the midwest like sunglasses, am I right? Perhaps not, but we were ready for some warm fun, so we geared up for a trip out to Iowa to a water park. Here the boys get their shades ready...Here's Mr. Sam before a transformation...
TAAADAAAAA! The boy has no tolerance for salon haircuts where he has to sit and endure scissors. So Daddy brought out the clippers and here we are. He's calling up his ladies saying, "hey baby, ready to party...?"
It took us some time to get used to the new look. He looks SOOOO white/fair, and he looks older with the short hair. We buzzed Noah at about the same age and it was fun to have a new "little bully" running around the house.
I don't have any actual waterpark pictures, Andrea took a bunch so I'll post those soon. But the boys were VERY excited to go swim and hang out with Evie, Kyndal, and Ayla.
We had some nice quality time with the grown ups Bob, Michelle, Andrea and Nic as well. Mike had to stay back to go to work. Boo!
The older kids hung out a lot together, very cute! Noah and Ayla are high tech kids with iPods and laptops and such...
We celebrated Christmas and Ayla's 4th birthday. So everyone got presents, fun times!
Nic (soon to be daddy of 3 girls) got some superhero lessons from Noah. He explains all his new squinkie guys and what superheroes they are.
Sam was just happy to play with the wrappings. Yes, we got one more wear out of the Christmas jammies!
Kyndal is getting so big too, she'll be 3 in May. She was thrilled with her Snow White baby doll. Good find Aunt Michelle!
I will post some more soon, but our trip was so fun. We came home exhausted, but happy :)
