T minus 1 month!

So we're in the final countdown for baby brother.  February was full of many indoor fun activities.  The boys have been great fun lately and great help getting ready for the baby.  We've been pulling out supplies and clothes the last week or two.  But we've still had time for plenty of fun things as well.  A new deep freezer for mommy meant a new box/fort for the boys.

Noah rocked "Crazy Hair Day" at school and wore a tie dye shirt that we made.  I do not recommend tie dye for small children, I had blue fingers (despite being careful and using gloves) for a week!
Daddy has been experimenting with new face paint types and techniques.  Last week the guys chose to try out Mario Brothers.

And we've had some fun with "quiet time."  It should really be called "go in a room and play/read nicely while mommy rests time."  Last week they decided to try out the bathtub (dry of course) with blankets, pillows, and books.  It was highly successful!
And, hopefully this video works for you.  Sam has been cracking us up with his robot dance moves lately.  We don't know where he picked it up, but it's pretty good for a 2 1/2 year old!

Holy February Batman!

I am living in a state of denial that it's truly February.  Perhaps it's been the unseasonably warm/dry winter, perhaps it's the fact that we are not at all prepared for baby #3 (as in, I haven't started my crazed nesting/room prep yet).  But we march on and soon enough I'll be in a mad panic of furniture rearrangement and toy purging before the little one gets here.  Anywhoooooo, here's what we've been up to lately.  Noah had a special "Moms & Muffins" date in his class.  I got to come visit him, listen to some cute songs and we made a potted plant together as well as a necklace.  It was a very special day.
I changed up my work schedule this week due to an important meeting, so we had a rare Tuesday/Mommy day.  We headed up to Palatine so I could get a little baby girl fix with Hattie and the boys had a fun morning playing all together.
A testament to the weird weather.  On Tuesday it got up to near 65 degrees here and rainy.  I couldn't resist allowing the boys to dig out the rainboots for some good old fashioned puddle jumping.

True to Chicago form, no less than 4 days later we were digging out the snowboots and grabbing our shovels.  Gotta love the midwest!

All in all, another great week full of new adventures.  Now we busy ourselves with various Pinterest projects and baby-prep to get us through the next month or two!
