Birthdays, Birthdays and more Birthdays!

March is always something special around here, with all the birthday fun.  Sam has been keeping busy too (despite NOT having a birthday).  He found a new mask app that is hilarious.
Tough dude got whipped in the face with a wiffle ball Noah hit off a tee!
First up in our couple weeks' celebration madness was Xavier.  Mike put together this cute cake for his first smash cake!
 He loved it!
And we loved watching the big guy turn 1!
 Baby Bella enjoyed it too!
Great gifts for our favorite 1-year-old cousin!
Then it was Isaac's turn!  He turned three on Monday, 3/14/16, and celebrated by opening presents with his brothers bright and early!
Suitcase and helmet from mom and dad, Minecraft lovies from the brothers!
 Can't believe he's 3!
When dad went to work and brothers went off to school, the birthday boy and I stopped for a special treat!

When your birthday is Pie day, you celebrate accordingly!
 Our funny little leprechaun!
I was able to get away for a weekend with the gals.  Andrea, Michelle, and I hit up the mall and the casino/spa in Iowa.  Great time!
The shopping was not only for me, found some good stuff for the kids too!
Matching jammies, cannot pass up!
Isaac NEVER wants to paint his hands or feet, but Bamma convinced him to do so this past week.
 Cute craft as a result!
We had a feline visitor follow us home on a walk.  The boys were in love.
 Ellie was in love too!
Someone enjoyed his Easter/spring party at school!
2 out of 3 Rodriguez brothers enjoyed watching some snow fall.  Noah was NOT happy, he's ready for spring like most of us!
 Haircut bravery results in suckers!
We prepared for our family party that was a joint bash for Isaac and Noah.  Isaac's cake was saved for this special day.  He couldn't decide (mickey one day, hulk the next) so Mike chose a pretty safe option: Spider-Man!
This cake took 6 hours with all the web made out of fondant!
Noah woke up to his presents on party day (it was his actual birthday day too)!
Convertible Minecraft sword/pick axe from his brothers was a hit!

 Cheers for party time!

Yay for turning 3 and your first daddy cake!
 Patiently awaiting presents!
Lucky boy got a decorative shield signed by Stan Lee!
Quick turn around for the next day's celebration of Easter.  Thankfully it was a calm day at home with candy and baskets and hunting!

So now we get to relax and enjoy Spring Break!  Hooray!

February fun

Nothing too exciting happening around here, just your average February fun!  We celebrated Papa's birthday over in Chicago Ridge.  We were witness to the Rodriguez rite of passage that is the first haircut for Xavier.  He wasn't too thrilled about it...

But, as always, Auntie Kim did a great job!
We took in Kung Fu Panda 3 at a local theater with the "big seats."  Noah claims he will never go to another theater again!
It's been a pretty mild winter here, but we were able to sneak in a bit of sledding.  Noah was a regular daredevil and was laid up the next day due to soreness!
Isaac and Sam were not quiet as wild.  Sam preferred rolling down the hill and Isaac was content to just hang out in the snow, watching.
Bamma came up with some great indoor games.  Balloon Badminton was a hit!
Snowman bowling was also a winner!
The boys favorite karate instructor, Master Yousif, moved away this month.  They were bummed, but happy that they will hopefully see him in future tournaments.
 Who's ready for Cubs season?!
Random dessert run to Culvers, yes please!
Sam got invited to his first "friend" birthday party!  Ava S has been his best buddy at preschool for almost 2 years now and he was thrilled to go to her PJ and pancake party!
I was thrilled to go to a baby shower for my dear friend Kathleen!  Philie made her a ridiculously adorable stuffed pug.
Partial reunion of the high school gang!
 Minecraft perler bead obsession!
Sam's writing is really coming along!
Michelle and Erin hosted a Lularoe party.  Philie and I were obnoxious as usual!  Here Philie models her "exes and ohs" dress!
 Pixelated minecraft unicorn leggins!
Erin takes a layering a bit far...
Isaac is REALLY in the midst of the terrible twos/threenager angst.  Not fun.  But at least since he's our third kiddo we take it a lot less seriously.
Family trip to the Museum of Science and Industry was great fun!  They loved the vortex/tornado exhibit!

 Submarine was awesome!
 Noah loved the shadow exhibit.
And Sam loved the cow at the farm exhibit!
Now, time to work off some of this hibernation weight!
Gearing up for the birthday madness of March!  Cake pictures to follow soon!
