They call me mellow yellow...

So, as lots of babies are, Noah is a bit jaudice. Nothing major, but we have to do some "sunlight therapy" each day. We realized that dressing him in yellow doesn't really help his yellow look, but he's certainly improving. He had another first yesterday, watching Daddy play Warcraft. Fortunately, Mike only showed him the "G" rated characters in there, not his "R" rated characters. Such a good role model!

More Noah

So, here is more of Mr. Noah. He is a GREAT baby, only had to push 30 minutes for his birth, picked up on the breastfeeding fast, sleeps for 3-4 hours at a time, dealt with sore circumcision site well. Of course he's home now, so I'm sure he'll be testing us here pretty soon. He is also VERY hairy. He has the obvious head hair, but he also has shoulder hair and hair on his little ears! We've been calling him Frodo. It's so cute now, but hopefully it will fall off before he turns 20 or the dating scene might be a bit harsh. Thanks to everyone for the wonderful emails, phone calls, and well wishes. We'll try to get back to you all soon, but for now we are happy at home and enjoying our sweet little boy!

Jolly Green Giant

So, it was the first day of spring today. Our school celebrates "Green day" by having everyone wear green and bring in green items and have green snacks, etc. Not wanting to miss out on the fun, I searched and searched for a green shirt that would fit. My lovely husband offered up his Marvel Comic super heroes shirt. Such a team player! I can't help but feel as though I look like the Green Giant, but the kids seemed to enjoy it. Hopefully this kiddo shows up soon so I can go back to my svelte self. For anyone wanting some preggo/medical info updates, I am 2cm dialated and 50% effaced. That could mean baby tomorrow or baby next week. We'll keep you posted...

Ellie's getting ready

So, I've decided to launch myself head first into this whole "blogging" stuff upon the advice of several folk. Apparently it is the cool thing to do, and I am nothing if not cool. Hopefully this will be a good way for us to post pictures of the soon to be Baby Rodriguez for all you out of towners to see. For now, here's a picture of Ellie, nesting cutely next to a pile of baby clothes. We think she has some awareness of a change coming, but we're not sure. Should be interesting...
