More homebound birthdays

Here in Illinois, the statewide Stay at Home order has been in effect for awhile and will continue to be so until the end of May.  We are making the most of it, and you will see the basic themes of cats, outside time, movie time, zoom time, baking time, and losing our minds time.  Overall we have done pretty well with it all.  The cats are starting to adjust to us being home 24-7, though I think sometimes Molly is less than thrilled.
Some neighbors left us a sweet chalk note in the driveway!
 Family tattoo time!

Cats taking over workspaces, a common occurrence.
Noah turned 12!  TWELVE!  My goodness!  He got his first cell phone and was VERY happy.

He had simple dinner requests, pizza and brownies!  Happy birthday, dude!
We start most mornings with some scooter time in our pajamas.  I'm sure the neighbors enjoy the creative use of patterns!
In the "lost our damn minds" category - Sam and I dyed our hair.  Isaac couldn't commit to the bleaching process, so he bowed out.  But Sam and I went forth!
Blonde boy!

Next step - add the color.  Blue for Sam and Purple for me!

Results were pretty good!  It has stayed in over a month and is slowly fading.  The blonde return stage could be interesting, we will see!
The boys have had some sweet messages from their teachers!
Isaac learned to ride his bike!  It's been great being able to have them all out riding around when the weather is nice!

More cat trouble, this one can jump everywhere.  She managed to break one of those pots on the sill!
Next up was Mike's birthday.  I tried a homemade cheesecake for him, I think it went pretty well!

 "Happy Birthday to - ME!"
 Love you, Dad!
Lots of walks to keep us sane and active!
The boys have all gotten back in to minecraft, it's fun to watch all 3 of them try to navigate playing together in this way.
Zoom time with family.  Uncle Josh shows off his handstands.
We made some Easter eggs and Mike and I marveled at the fact that these kids are just the right age to still enjoy it while also being able to be patient and do it themselves without tears or messes!

We opted for a basement egg hunt with glowsticks in the dark!

More baking.  I should have mentioned the additional theme of Isaac being shirtless - constantly!
We will all be in great shape or obese when this is over, there is no middle ground!
Zooming with friends is great therapy!

Lots of crafting has been going on as well.
We began a Star Wars marathon, where we have watched all 9 films over the last month, ending with the last one yesterday (May the 4th).
Typical Chicago spring, had to get one last dump of snow in mid April after having already put away boots and snow pants.  But we did head out and had a great time playing!

More baking - this time pretzel focaccia bread.  It was delicious.
Typical Saturday/Sunday activity of cat snuggles and nature documentaries.
If you zoom in on Molly's face, you'll see the "When will they just go back to work" look.
Isaac has enjoyed some 1st grade zoom time!
Scooter club mornings are pretty great.
 More feline seat stealing.
Homemade mask that coordinates with my hair!  Thanks Lynn (Philie's mom)!
She is getting bigger and naughtier each day.
More baking - french bread edition.  Results were better than expected.
Ok, I can't use this hand, ever.
They act tough, but when no one is looking behind the couch, they snuggle together.
"Mom, mom, mooooom, mama, ma, ma, ma, mom."
 Hasn't had a haircut in....awhile.
We take our v-learning very seriously.
The only beverage she has ever expressed interest in.
We had a nice warm weekend, which was great, and Noah and I spent time out playing pokemon go.
The warm weather has left for awhile, but we got tropical yesterday with a visit from the shaved ice truck!  It was a nice treat for a regular Monday!
 Cat snuggles continue
So, we will continue to hunker down for the month of May and hope for continued health and safety for all our friends and family!
