Our spring has been picking up with lots of activities! Isaac decided to try out skateboarding and Elk Grove Village happens to have a park district program, so he has been shredding it up for a few weeks now.
We had some flooding and backed up drainage pipes, after some back and forth we were able to get it fixed by the township. But the ducks did enjoy all the water for a bit.
Isaac tried out his new egg cups, a birthday gift from Bamma that he loves!
We celebrated Bampa's 70th birthday!
We had a low key Easter (Noah had Covid) at home and did some egg hunting.
And entirely too much candy!
And egg decorating!
Someone took full advantage of the candy stash!
Weekend naps are the best!
Isaac, Sam and I did the first ever Color Run at their school, it was a beautiful day!
Sam made a very important decision about next school year!
Isaac built his confidence and skill in karate!
Sam had his 5th grade music concert at school.
And he started archery again!
The cats love squirrel and bird watching in the spring.
Sam was a trooper and had to have 2 fully rooted baby canine teeth removed by an oral surgeon.
Ice cream after - Doctor's Orders!
Isaac enjoyed an indoor pool party for his buddy, Ben!
Noah had his 8th grade dance, he was able to go with a great group of friends!
They got a limo and dinner at Sugar Factory before heading to the dance.
Only one more week of 8th grade and we will have a rising high schooler!
The day after the dance, he jumped right into a karate tournament. This was the first big full tournament they have had in over 2 years, so Noah had some fresh competition.
He placed 2nd in sword sparring and first in both board breaks and regular sparring, great job kid!
New shoes for all - but Sam couldn't find exactly what he wanted so he decided to paint his own!
Careful observation from the peanut gallery.
