After what seemed like a longer late summer (weather wise) it now feels officially like fall. With our normal schedule settling it, we've been able to enjoy some new things. Isaac and I try to take advantage of our open Fridays. We recently went to Naperville's riverwalk. It was really nice and we got to meet up with Kjersten for lunch!
My mom did a total knee replacement of her left knee last week. She was a bit chilly when she came out of surgery (hence the 800 blankets). Overall she has done really well. It was a tough first-week recovery as we lost a dear friend, Kim Skaggs, as well and had her memorial service. But mom has been a total trooper and continues to improve each day!
Sam's class did a unit on community helpers and he got to test out some firefighter equipment.
We have had a lot of rain lately, but Sam and I were able to sneak a walk in and were treated with a double rainbow!
School pictures came in for the older two and did not disappoint! Love my 3rd grader and my kindergarten!
Isaac and I spent another fun Friday helping Bamma bling out her walker and do her physical therapy!
The no nap schedule resulted in Isaac passing out in the stroller on the way to school pick up!
Mike took Isaac out for a special ice cream date, I think he liked it!
Today we took advantage of a break in the rain to hit the apple farm. It was crowded, but we were happy campers as we hopped on the hay ride!
They had Liberty, Golden Delicious, and Jonathon to pick from. We tried them all!
I found myself saying, "just look for Noah's sweatshirt." It is certainly hard to miss even in the crowds!
Apple cider donuts were a hit too!
We took some time trying out the tractors too (not pictured: Isaac having a complete hissy fit).
These three, love them so much!
