June 2019 summer fun!

Man, do we just love summer!  We got off to a good start, while I was still working even!  I had a whole week of work while the boys enjoyed special days with Mike, Bampa, and Mrs. Laura.  Mike took Isaac to his first swim lesson of the season and introduced the boys to White Castle (apparently they were not all that impressed).

Uncle Josh has been up to his usual antics, this time it was giant super sugared drinks for the older two (Isaac was at a birthday party).  They were a big hit!
After being encouraged to CHUG CHUG CHUG, this is what happened to Sam.
We had our SEVENTH mud day!  It's different fun now that the kids are older!

Sam did not mess around this year, he was all thumbs up and smiles until I reminded him how we clean up at the end (the frigid hose water!)

We also did some diet coke and mentos!
A new addition this year was shaving cream!  It was helpful with the clean up and fun too!

And the end we enjoyed some water balloons, another great day for mud!
We had some really strange early summer weather with cooler temps, fog, lots of rain, and that resulted in some interesting outfit choices!
Noah enjoyed Karate Camp this year with lots of water fun and a giant rocket!

While Noah was busy with karate and Isaac with swim, Sam snuck away for a sleepover with Bamma and enjoyed a sushi dinner with Pops and JoJo!
Despite the wet spring, the local strawberry patch still managed to open for U-Pick this year!

We walked away with a lot of berries!

I love summer when it brings some dear friends back in town!  The smiley baby is our friends' foster kiddo, so we can't show her face (but I assure you, she is DARN cute!)
And this week, we managed a trip to Iowa to visit the Richmonds!  It was so great, the kids all get along so nicely (we can't wait to meet Richmond #4 in August!)
Sam found a bird skull outside.
 There were some games played.

And some assisting with dinner too!
We even had a chance to play at the pool during our quick 48 hour visit!
And now, we turn around and head out to the lake soon!  Can't wait for more summer fun!
