Fred came over the play on Thursday and the boys are interacting more and more. Here they got on the toy train together and things started out well...

Memorial Day
We had a wonderful time up at Diamond Lake this weekend. Grandma and Grandpa lavished Noah with a steady stream of donuts and blueberries. Josh and his girlfriend Tia were there as were Val and her boyfriend Taylor. There was an intense bags tournament that ended with me being on every losing team (we played couples, girls vs boys, and old vs young). We even got Grandma and Grandpa to play. It was awesome! The bags set was a housewarming gift from Mike's sister Kim.
On a sidenote: CONGRATS ANDREA and NIC! They had a baby girl yesterday, Kyndal Ann (not sure if there's an 'e' on Ann, sorry!). Yeaaaaaaa!

Random forts, pantless wonders, and baby birds...
Sorry we've been slacking on the picture front this week (mom!). The most exciting news of late is that Noah is definitely walking now. In the last week he's gained a lot of confidence and will walk across a carpeted room (hardwood is a little more intimidating). In other news we have a nest of baby robins under our deck right now, we check on them daily, they have more feathers since the picture I took last week. What else, oh Fred was over last week and the boys decided to go old school (as in, last summer, not wearing pants, EVER). He rode around on the dump truck backwards with no pants on, pretty classic. And finally, our newest past time is building forts and climbing through them. Although Noah prefers to destroy them a la Godzilla. He is SUCH a boy sometimes. Hope everyone has a lovely holiday weekend!

First Trip to the Zoo
Noah had his first trip to the zoo on Tuesday. The weather was perfect and the boys did very well. They seemed to really enjoy the seals, something about watching them dive underwater and swim around really fast was fascinating to them. Noah also seemed to love the goats at the petting zoo as he hugged them much like he hugs his dog. It was a great day, Noah cashed out on the stroller ride back to the car!

The Donut Monster Strikes Again!
So I would not consider Mike an "indulgent father" for the most part. He's pretty consistent with naps and meals and such, but he does have one weakness. Mike cannot resist feeding Noah donuts. It's not just for the spoiling part, it's mostly Noah's reaction to said donut. I offer exhibit A, the above picture. You can see how much he relishes his donut and how he attacks it with such vigor. I'd also like to draw your attention to his arched eyebrow. That is so Daddy, I cannot even tell you. So funny! And don't dare try to take that donut away, he's got a death grip on it and will offer quite a protest if you make a move for his foodstuffs!
