Our summer just keeps on rolling along with loads of fun. After the wonderful celebrations for the 4th, we landed at my parents house for a nice Sunday dinner. Sam (as usual) was the center of attention and bounced from lap to lap eating more food in one meal that he usually does in 1 week!
There was a lot of food that we don't usually eat, including king crab legs. Sam was all over them and ate at least 2 whole ones along with some trout and platefuls of other craziness.
This week on Tuesday, I headed up to Diamond Lake for a visit with some of the Benhart crew. Brad & Jeaneen were there with Kate, Meredith, and CJ. My boys loved having cousins to play with and take care of all their needs. Sam had the girls toting him everywhere, including in the lake!
Our fish-boy, Noah, was swimming all over the place with his bud CJ. It's so nice to have one completely independent swimmer that I can watch without worry!
The boys enjoyed some sun time in the floatie chairs.
Sam, our over-actor/Shatner found some puppy ears.
There was lots of snuggle time watching "Jophus" (aka Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat).
NeeNee got her baby love on too!
Lots of highly successful fishing time in the channel!
Isaac wasn't so much a fan of the lifejacket, but the evening boatride was lovely nonetheless!
This morning (Wednesday) the bigger kids all went tubing!
The kids also had a lot of fun on the water mat!
We returned home, exhausted but extremely happy we went. Noah and Sam collected some bday gifts while up there and are now proud owners of inflatable punching gloves. Gee, thanks, Dave & Meg!
I think Daddy might even like them better than the little goofballs!
So, now we wait with excitement for our friends Kali and Kirin (along with their parents Meera and Jason) to arrive for a weeklong visit from California! YEA!
