Family Fun Days!

We recently got Noah's school picture.  I feel like first grade is on the cusp of when kiddos start to go from cute to awkward.  But Noah is still on the cute side (at least in my opinion)!
The weather this weekend has been terrible, in the 40s and rainy.  Fortunately Noah had a bye week for soccer this week, so we checked our trusty project pinterest boards to get some ideas.  We settled on tower building with marshmallows and uncooked spaghetti noodles.
It was a fun afternoon project to do while Isaac snoozed.  Noah was very focused on making sturdy pyramids for daddy.  Unfortunately we discovered the pasta was not exactly uniform in length (damn generics!) and so our quest for vertical builds was dashed.  But we had a great time nonetheless!
Sam had a great time making all kinds of shapes and creatures, I was impressed with how long he stuck with it and how creative he was!
At some point, the eating of the materials started happening.  I ended up with a marshmallow fight with Noah and Mike's city was smashed by two godzillas named Noah and Sam.  You know it was a good project when I'm cleaning goo off the floor and Mike is showering the boys!
We also picked a cooking project for the day.  Frankenstein rice krispie treats!  They turned out very cute and very tasty!
So ends another fun family Saturday!
