So Day 2 (Monday, 6/15/15) was our Animal Kingdom day. We arrived just before it opened and headed back to the Kilimanjaro Safari first, it was pretty neat to see all the various animals. Noah said his favorite was the okapi.
Sam enjoyed the crocodile, of course!
After the safari we caught the Festival of the Lion King show. For anyone that grew up in the era of the Lion King, it's a must see. The kids really enjoyed it too!
Tree of Life photo op while waiting in line, don't mind if we do!
The highlight for Sam and Isaac was again meeting characters, they saw King Louey and Baloo...
as well as Minnie and Mickey in their safari get up. Meanwhile Noah went on Expedition Everest with my dad and Josh and Kjersten.
After lunch, we took in the Finding Nemo show, which was also really good (and air conditioned)!
At the end of the show, they blow bubbles from the ceiling, the kids thought it was amazing!
We headed back to the hotel to cool down, shower, and get ready for dinner. Yep, you know it, matching shirts again!
Boat ride from Old Key West to Downtown Disney!
The 5 of us Rodriguezes ate at T-Rex, the Dino themed restaurant. After some wise words of warning from some friends that went earlier, we opted for a table in the ice age room. Much quieter (by comparison) to the main room with roaring animatronic dinosaurs!
The Hewes crew ate at the Fulton Crab House. We enjoyed some ice cream at the Ghirardelli shop (so good!) and did a little shopping before heading back to the hotel. That night the rest of our extended group of the Benharts came in, so it was full tilt excitement!
