Yay for May!

May is always a great month for me, since it has my birthday, Mother's Day and usually it means we are close to the end of the school year.  Bamma had another cute project last week with some fingerprint artwork...
We got Sam's spring pictures.  The class photo is Sam being his usual maniac, goofball self...
But the single photos are adorable!

Noah got himself a black eye doing God knows what on the playground at school.
Very rainy days lately have required a lot of indoor play time.
Sam had an AWFUL soccer game in the cold rain.  Even the Cubs cancelled their game, but not Sam's team.  He was a trooper and was rewarded with a warm bath and a cookie upon his return home.
Some Hungry Hippo action with Josh and Kjersten!
We celebrated "May the Fourth" Star Wars style with jello.
Mike became a wedding cake designer for a day.  He made these for his boss at work.
Wacky Hair day = orange stripes
My birthday was wonderful, it started it with some chocolate covered strawberries from Mike and I bought myself a fire pit with some money from my father in law!
Sam had his Mother's Day sing at school, so fun!

And the card he made me.  Very accurate (EXCEPT the age!).
Sam had an amazing game this past weekend, he played goalie and offense and got hit square in the face with the ball (while play offense, ha!) and was a champ!
Peeps brought over by the neighbors!

Our new game of "who can score and hit the kid with the helmet at the same time"?!
 Tree climbing...
Mother's Day was lovely!  I got to sleep in (thanks to Mike!) and we cleaned up and headed to Burr Ridge.  Handsome crew!

Bamma found some hilarious clown noses that were a big hit!

Isaac took a nap that was so hard he left drool all over the nice decorative pillow!
 Two goofs!
Great weekend, great birthday, great Mother's Day... I'm a lucky gal!  Now, let's wrap this school year up and head to the pool!
