We are ready for summer fun! Noah wrapped up 2nd grade on Thursday, May 26th! He was proud of his perfect attendance but sad to leave his friends. As he said, "I am 45% happy and 55% sad, but next week I'll probably get to 80% happy."
I found another photo of Sam's class from preschool, still can't believe he's all done too.
Work on the deck continues under the close supervision of our project manager, Isaac.
We had our buddy Ari for the day after he was done with school and hadn't started summer camp yet. We celebrated Noah's first day off with a trip to Oberweis for ice cream at 10am, so fun!
We had the fountains all to ourselves, so much fun.
Our neighbor Daren, turned 40! His wife planned a surprise group trip to the Cubs game, he was indeed surprised as the full party bus pulled up to get him!
It was a great day for a game and Cubs played well!
Nice surprise work Monica!
It was a long day of fun for us and there were many moments of shenanigans...
and some realizations that we are old and can't hang as well as we used to!
The boys all had a very fun 24 hours with their cousins, complete with a sleepover!
And pool time at Papa's!
Isaac was worn out by all the fun and had to take midday nap on mommy when we arrived to pick them up!
Isaac had his final soccer class indoors due to weather. Coach Bob brought out the bounce balls for some extra fun!
Target had the most adorable Nemo shirt that I HAD to buy for Isaac. His favorite color is orange, so of course he had to wear it with orange shorts too!
We prepped a sign to surprise our friend, Fred, on his last day of school.
On Friday, we went up to Palatine to see the Worsts. We waited in the parking lot to surprise him off the bus.
Philie waited to greet the bus and we snuck behind a truck...
Waiting is hard!
Yay, so happy to have more free time to hang out with these guys now!
We made a bucket list of summer fun and signed our "contract of fun."
Ambitious, but hopefully we can check most of these things off the list this summer!
It's so nice to have accomplished readers now who we can just send off with a good book (this one was about greek mythology) and they are happy. So fun to see how far these guys have come in 8 years and they are still such good buds!
Obigatory ice cream trip!
Then on Sunday was the annual Rose Parade here in Roselle, such a beautiful day with my boys!
Feels like summer when we watch the fire trucks pass by and get lots of candy!
And, like most Sundays, Sam showed Josh some new moves! Yay for summer!
Now, I just have to get done with school finally this week and we will be marching onward to more summer adventures! Can't wait!
