Last week, Mike had to be in NY for work for 4 days. So, we had a fun sleep over at my parents house and decide to go into Chicago, the Big City (as they call it). My mom and I wrangled the three of them on to a train headed downtown.
They enjoyed the train ride a lot!
Then, we met up with my dad and walked over to Willis Tower. The kids hadn't been up in Willis before, they loved seeing all the sights of the city from way up high!
We got to the ledge, the glass box that allow you to see all around (even down) and Noah wasn't too sure about stepping off the solid ground.
Sam, however, had NO hesitation!
It was fun to spend some time taking in the views with Bamma and Bampa!
Then we walked to Giordano's for lunch!
Pizza is always a hit with our crew!
Deep Dish, don't mind if I do!
Isaac was happy to be toted around in a backpack, I think he liked the elevated view of the city streets and such.
Walking to Bampa's office!
Chicago Board of Trade building!
Noah really want to see the ABC station, but it was a FAR walk from where we were. So we compromised by driving by it, can't really see much but it made him happy!
Two out of three asleep for the ride home, score!
We had some special chocolate frogs from our friend Marcia when we got back. It was a great day in the city and a fun way to spend a summer day!
